Cation Exchange Properties of Subsurface Soil in Mid-Subtropical China: Variations, Correlation with Soil-Forming Factors, and Prediction

چکیده

Soil cation exchange property (SCEP) is important in soil development and environmental buffering. However, the variations SCEP its correlation with soil-forming factors subsurface are not fully understood. In this study, we quantified surface as a function of parent material, vegetation, hillslope position, type. Fifty upland profiles from mid-subtropical China were selected. The capacity (CEC) effective CEC (ECEC) significantly higher soils derived slate, Quaternary red clay (QRC), limestone than granite sandstone. had highest base saturation (BS) sum cations, lowest aluminum (Al) saturation. varied vegetation position. was mixed-forest whereas ECEC exchangeable acidity (EA) arable vegetation. Exchangeable potassium (K+) EA orders at strong phase. calcium (Ca2+), magnesium (Mg2+), CEC, BS intermediate prediction accuracy using random forest model that obtained multiple stepwise regression, best results (R2 = 0.92) soil. Our study indicated controlled by different could be effectively predicted properties subtropical China.

Soil-forming factors and Soil Taxonomy

a r t i c l e i n f o Here we analyze the past and present roles of the five soil-forming factors in USDA Soil Taxonomy. As opposed to the 7th Approximation of 1960, the factorial and genetic approach is clearly present in Soil Taxonomy. Soil climate is the most important factor in Soil Taxonomy. It is used at the highest level to define two of the 12 soil orders: Aridisols, the soils of the dr...

Comparison of artificial neural network and multivariate regression methods in prediction of soil cation exchange capacity (Case study: Ziaran region)

Investigation of soil properties like Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) plays important roles in study of environmental reaserches as the spatial and temporal variability of this property have been led to development of indirect methods in estimation of this soil characteristic. Pedotransfer functions (PTFs) provide an alternative by estimating soil parameters from more readily available soil data...

Changes study of variations of subsurface soil loss with application of soluble nanoclay and biochar in plot scale

Soil is very important for the production of crops and foodstuffs. One of the most important environmental crisesin the relationship with soil is the phenomenon of soil loss and therefore the soil conservation is very important. In conditions that, there is not the possibility of establishing vegetation, the use of soil conditioners can be useful in controlling soil loss. The present study wa...
